Mission: To transform health equity in perioperative medicine and mitigate healthcare disparities during the perioperative period through implementation of evidence-based interventions and strategies.
Identify health inequities and resulting healthcare disparities during distinct phases of the perioperative period.
Support the medical workforce with the expertise and skillset to effectively care for underrepresented and historically marginalized populations.
Implement sustainable interventions to address inequities during the perioperative period that can be replicated in other academic centers
Identify opportunities for digital transformation and artificial intelligence to advance perioperative health equity.
Advocating for health equity to be embedded into quality initiatives and quality improvement plans to enhance the sustainability of health equity efforts.
